Privacy Policy for Copy 'Em
Copy ’Em is a clipboard manager for macOS. This Privacy Policy explains what information Copy ’Em processes, how it is used, where it is stored, and what choices you have.
1) Summary
2) Information Copy ’Em Processes
Copy ’Em may process the following types of information depending on how you use the app:
A. Clipboard data (core feature)
Copy ’Em can store items you copy to the system clipboard (for example: text, images, or other clipboard content), so you can view and reuse them later.
B. Screen Recording permission (used only for screenshot features)
On macOS, taking certain types of screenshots requires Screen Recording permission. Copy ’Em uses Screen Recording permission only for its user-initiated screenshot actions (for example: full screen, timed full screen, selected window, or selected area).
Copy ’Em does not use Screen Recording permission for continuous recording, background monitoring, analytics, advertising, or tracking.
3) Screen Recording Data — What is captured
When you use Copy ’Em’s screenshot features, the app captures image data of the portion of the screen you selected (for example, your full screen, a selected window, or a selected area). This image may incidentally include any information visible on your screen at the time (such as documents, messages, or other on-screen content).
Copy ’Em captures screen content only when you explicitly trigger a screenshot action.
4) Purposes of Processing
Copy ’Em processes your data only to provide the app’s functionality:
5) Sharing / Disclosure
6) Storage Location
7) Data Retention
Copy ’Em retains stored clipboard items (including screenshots you captured) until you delete them, clear the app’s history (if available in the app), or uninstall the app. If iCloud Sync is enabled, deletions will also sync across your devices using iCloud.
